Amazon Fire TV app good for
You can access Hulu, Netflix, as well as Amazon videos so thats a nice feature. The only negative thing is that the remote control seems not so responsive so I use the iPhone Fire TV app.
First time writing a review on apps...this app is superb...very responsive voice reaction...super fast setup....easily worth than free! 5-stars!!
Often, my Amazon firestick tv remote application works fantastic from my phone!
This is a great app not only does it save you money on getting the voice control so was able to save $10 but keyboard allows you to type in your search.
Way better then the remote with firestick. Makes typing much more user friendly

Some bad moments
This app is supposed to control the Fire TV remotely.
It sees the Fire TV but wont do much. Just play and pause. Search doesnt work.
Almost totally useless.
Any time this app loses connection to the FireTV whatever app is playing pauses. This means if you lock your phone it pauses. If you switch apps it pauses. If it looses connection while open ( which happens all the time), it pauses. Basically unusable.
Take away this annoying piece of crap on the tv fricken voice crap take it away and never bring it back
The app takes at least 5 minutes to even find our Fire TV Stick. Constantly disconnects and glitches. Please update your app.
Ive had the fire stick about 35 days and the remote quit working. Ive tried to "pair" the remote again but have had no luck. Yes, Ive replaced the batteries, too. Im about ready to return the firestick and cancel the service
I just picked up my first ever Fire TV. While the remote is pretty simple to use, its nice using the phone instead of feeling the remote buttons when its dark.
Its pretty slick that you can use he phone track pad to slide the video forward and backwards, and tap anywhere on the screen to pause. I have to get accustomed to the clicking sound when going through selections. But you can go through videos by scene!
Anyway, if youre curious about the app. You wont be disappointed! Nice job Amazon! Im glad I got rid of my Apple TV & replaced it with Amazon Fire TV.
